You are a work of art the likes of which this planet has never seen before. Your very being is expressed in a medley of interests and mannerisms and energy that influence the world around you in unique ways. And I have a sneaking suspicion that you haven’t always felt encouraged to be yourself.
The commercials on TV have a way of insinuating that you would be better off if only you just had one more thing. Magazines probably make you doubt your own special sort of beauty. And Instagram has you double-tapping on snapshots that remind you of the dream life that someone else is living. Comparison lurks within the shadows.
It is so easy to measure yourself against standards that someone else has set. And someone is always waiting to pass judgment when you don’t fall into the same line they’ve wandered into. I just hope that it doesn’t quell your desire to try new things and discover different outcomes for yourself.
Be curious about the unknown. Be bold about trying new things. Be willing to let go of what doesn’t feel right for you. And remember that you are free to be exactly who you are.
