Humans are storytellers by nature. We learn so much from hearing about other experiences and sharing our own. And the stories we tell ourselves can hold such power in our lives.
Many times, the stories we cling to are rooted in false narratives. They feature an overgeneralization of our fears that we’ve internalized without ever realizing it.
In Ep. 045 of #younghonestmotherthepodcast, I share:
- the most common responses I hear from people wanting to speak up for something they believe in-open up about my personal experience rewriting
- the stories I used to tell myself
- how The Work of Byron Katie has helped me to unearth truth
If left unchecked, the stories we tell ourselves can fester into limiting beliefs that keep us from moving forward. Once we examine them, we can question their truth, their validity.
